Coffeecat, Oh Give me a (coffee) break!

Coffeecat is a relatively new Davao city coffeeshop and news about it is travelling faster than the light. What, with the hype of coffee spots sprouting everywhere, businessmen must have picked up the trend and considered giving in to the growing demand. On a personal level, I can get by with 3-in-1 instant coffees any time of the day (or whenever caffeine addiction kicks in), but I wanted so bad to try their Avalanche ice blend varieties.
I had Mocha Chip while coffee buddy chose Chai Tea. Price was Php125/135-ish and small and medium sizes were 10-peso apart. We had the medium cup and I wasn't even halfway when I started feeling almost satiated. My flavor of choice was rather extra-sweet and the mocha chips were aplenty, it almost choked my every sip. I liked mixing the whipped cream on top with the rest of the liquid formula, but maybe it was just me trying to have some level of playfulness with the straw.
The ambience was cozy. It must be the snug couches that drifted us to hours of conversation like we were just at the comforts of our home. It wasn't crowded either, like in Tata Benito's or Bo's or Bluegre. That or the timing was just perfect. It's location was a little distant to other coffee hubs but the walk to F.Torres was worth the caffeine experience.
